Networking Meeting in Lismore is Going Ahead!
LGP is excited to announce that the Lismore Networking Meeting is going ahead on Thursday 27th March despite Tropical Cyclone Alfred trying his best to upset our plans.
As we all know, the Lismore region has borne the brunt of a number of natural disasters over the last few years and LGP is very pleased to hold our event in Lismore, bringing some much needed economic support to the community.
The Lismore Networking Event is shaping up to be one of our best ever with the agenda chock-full of high-calibre presenters covering a range of relevant and interesting topics. Some of the highlights include
- Jon Gibbons, General Manager of Lismore City Council will be opening the event and providing an update on the Lismore region.
- Dr James Cockayne, the NSW Anti-Slavery Commissioner will be giving us an update on the anti-slavery measures councils need to put in place.
- Case studies from Lismore City Council, Armidale Regional Council, and Port Macquarie-Hastings Council.
- Sharon Morris, Group Regional Head APAC World Commerce and Contracting will be running a workshop on Buyer Best Practice in Relationship Management;
- Lou Stojanovski, specialist construction lawyer and founder of Keystone Lawyers will be talking about the top 10 key contract clauses and how to avoid common pitfalls.
Date: Thursday 27th March 2025
Time: 9:00am – 3:00pm.
Location: Lismore Heights Sports, Recreation and Community Club. 181a High Street Lismore Heights.
As always, this Networking Event is free to attend and exclusive to NSW council staff. Lunch and refreshments are provided.
This event is relevant to all council staff, particularly those working in the procurement, project management, works and engineering spaces.
We’d love to see you in Lismore for a fun and informative day, in support of the Lismore community.
