Across New South Wales, procurement professionals and contractors are helping local government deliver smarter, more sustainable solutions for their communities. Whether you’re managing a transformative project, leading with innovation, or quietly driving real impact behind the scenes – your work deserves recognition.
The 2025 Local Government Procurement (LGP) Awards are now open for nominations, and we’re inviting councils and LGP Approved Contractors alike to shine a spotlight on excellence in procurement.
Council Awards
There are three award categories for councils, celebrating both individual achievement and team efforts:
-
New Procurement Professional
-
Outstanding Procurement Professional of the Year
-
Procurement Project of the Year
Winners receive a personalised award plaque, $2,500 in professional development training, and sector-wide recognition.
Contractor Award
The LGP Approved Contractor of the Year award recognises contractors delivering outstanding value under an LGP contract — from ESG leadership and innovation to commercial success and local community impact. The winning organisation receives a plaque, branded promotional tools, and exposure through LGP’s channels.
