Awards 2023
Local Government Procurement invites you to celebrate your people who are amazing, inspirational, outstanding and strive hard make their community better, more accessible and inclusive.
The Local Government Procurement Awards recognise excellence, best practice and exceptional work demonstrated by either an individual, group or organisation and reward them for making a difference in local government and their community. Please take the time to nominate employees or colleagues who go above and beyond to achieve excellent outcomes and deserve to be honoured and celebrated.
Nominations for all awards will open mid-2023.
Procurement Award Categories
The award recipients receive a personalised plaque and professional development training of the winner’s choice to the value of $2,500.
New Procurement Professional
To be eligible the nominee must have less than 2 years’ experience in procurement within NSW local government.
Outstanding Procurement Professional of the Year
To be eligible the nominee must have minimum 2 years’ experience in procurement within NSW local government.
Sustainable Procurement Achievement
This award is for either an individual or organisation that has demonstrated exceptional sustainable procurement work.

LGP Approved Contractor of the Year Award
The award will reflect the efforts and achievements of LGP’s Approved Contractors, specifically under the LGP/NPN contracts during
FY2021-22. The recipient receives a personalised plaque and associated branding to promote their achievement.
Submissions will be assessed against the criteria listed below:
- Demonstrated introduction and/or application of sustainability initiatives
- Evidence of applied innovation – through business, product or service
- Demonstrated commercial growth through the LGP contract
- Demonstrated promotion of the LGP contract or LGP with staff and buyers
- Demonstrate your achievements across the NSW local government sector under LGP contracts
