LGP offers a range of short non-accredited courses in procurement, contracting and project management. The contents have been designed specifically for local government sector and are delivered in a workshop format by extremely qualified and experienced facilitators.

Regional Procurement Training Dubbo (16 October 2024)

Intending to make training more accessible to its Regional and Remote clients, we have been delivering courses around NSW. The first one for this year was successfully completed in Coffs Harbour on 18 September with a great response. The next one is planned for Dubbo.

ISO 20400 Sustainable Procurement (Thursday 17 October 2024)
This course is designed to provide participants with an understanding of ISO 20400 on sustainable procurement and how it can be used in their own context and professional role. It covers how to analyse a council’s current sustainable procurement framework, identify drivers for sustainable procurement and define a sustainable procurement strategy and program of work that is tailored to your current council’s context.

Bidding for Government Contracts (Thursday 24 October 2024)
The objective of this course targeted at approved and potential suppliers is to provide insights about public sector procurement from the buyer’s perspective as to what is required, how the proposals are considered, the tender evaluation process, preparing and submitting bids. The experienced trainers assist the participants to develop skills and confidence in bid writing.

Procurement Planning & Specification Development and Tender Evaluation and Contract Awarding (Monday 28 October 2024):  This course will help to build the foundation skills and knowledge around planning for procurement, developing specification, evaluating tenders and awarding of the contracts. The activities, case studies and the examples shared by the skilled facilitator during the session will augment the overall learning experience.

This flexible training option helps in building and refreshing the underpinning knowledge of procurement and contracting function in NSW Local Government sector.
