We’re pleased to announce the launch of Release 4 of LGP’s Procurement Capability Grant Program, supporting NSW local government. Our first three releases distributed over $337,000 across 26 projects – and we’re excited to do it again.
This round, we’ve committed another $150,000, with grants ranging from $3,000 to $25,000 available for eligible initiatives.
Once again, the goals of the program are to:
-
Encourage councils to assess key areas for improvement and define impactful procurement initiatives.
-
Motivate collaboration between councils, ROCs and JOs through joint submissions that showcase procurement leadership.
-
Generate meaningful stories of achievement, with case studies emerging as a key output of each project.
The program has received an average of 57 submissions each round, so to streamline assessment and decision-making, we’re now using eProcure to receive applications. All information on how to apply can be found on LGP Procurement Capability Grant Program.
Please note, applications open Thursday 8 May and close at 5pm on Thursday 5 June 2025.
Other Key Initiatives
First Nations Procurement Scheme
We now have 54 Indigenous businesses engaged in our new scheme, with the remaining applications to be processed in the next fortnight. We’ll be launching this via VendorPanel to all 128 NSW councils. We’re proud to support both Supply Nation ‘Certified’ and NSW Indigenous Chamber of Commerce ‘Assured’ businesses as they gain greater visibility in local government procurement. Find out more about our First Nations Procurement Scheme.
LGP Disaster Response Solution
This solution focuses on securing price certainty, establishing a three-phase supplier engagement model, and providing a single point of contact during natural disasters. We’re currently engaging key councils for early involvement. If your council is interested, please contact your LGP Business Development Manager.
