Course details PSP50616 Diploma of Procurement and Contracting PSP40616 Certificate-IV in Procurement and Contracting
Overview This qualification allows for the attainment of competencies required for independent and self-directed work as a procurement and contract manager in the public sector. It is suitable for individuals who apply integrated technical and theoretical concepts in a broad range of contexts to undertake advanced skilled duties in a procurement and contracting environment. This qualification allows for the attainment of occupational specific competencies for those responsible for the procurement of goods and services. It covers the broad range of skills required to operate without supervision in a procurement and contracting environment.
Training venue Course Delivery: In-person at LGP Office (Level 11, 55 Clarence Street, Sydney NSW 2000). The participants will have the option to attend the courses (fully/partially) remotely via Teams.
Academic Support Sessions: Online via Teams.

Entry requirements ·  Must be 18 years old or above at the time of enrolment.

·  Completion of Certificate-IV in Procurement and Contracting and/or have a minimum of two years recent work experience in procurement, contracting, or governance/compliance role in the local government or any other public sector and looking to broaden their procurement/contracting skills and knowledge.

·  Have basic computing skills that may include the essentials of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email system (e.g., Outlook, Gmail etc.) and Internet search engine (e.g., Google).

·  Should undertake an online Language, Literacy, and numeracy (LLN) test to be organised by LGTA.

·  Pre-enrolment review: candidates will fill the pre-enrolment form online, and the Head of Training will conduct a short online review with the candidates to ascertain they meet all the requirements for admission confirmation.

·  Must be 18 years old or above at the time of enrolment.

·  Should have a minimum of one-year recent work experience in procurement, contracting, or governance/compliance role in the local government or any other public sector and looking to broaden their procurement/contracting skills and knowledge.

Delivery period Obtaining a Diploma or Certificate-IV typically requires 1-2 years of learning. This course is set up to be delivered and completed over 52 weeks. This does not include the holidays over Christmas and New Year.
