NSW EPA’s Circular Economy Accelerator is an immersive circular economy training and project development program, to equip council staff with the practical knowledge required to accelerate their council’s journey to a circular economy.
Phase 1 of the Accelerator focussed on building CE knowledge and capability, while Phase 2 of the Accelerator provides participants with access to 6 hours of expert consultancy advice per council to help refine and develop a CE project. Phase 2 is open for council staff that participated in Phase 1 of the Accelerator, and for people that attended one of two recent circular economy workshops on CE Hubs and Precincts run by the NSW EPA.
We are pleased to announce that LGP has been appointed as a panel expert for council participants to assist with their project plans.
How LGP can assist?
As part of the EPA Circular Economy expert panel providing circular economy advice to councils, LGP and its Sustainable Choice team offers extensive expertise in delivering actionable circular economy solutions. Leveraging our deep knowledge and insights into the local government sector, we assessed the current status of circular economy across NSW local councils and published a comprehensive white paper and discussion paper on the role of circular economy in procurement for local governments. This document outlines key challenges and provides clear, practical recommendations for advancing circular economy initiatives.
With extensive experience helping NSW councils integrate sustainability and ESG into their procurement processes, along with hands-on expertise in delivering circular economy projects, we are uniquely positioned to guide you in planning and implementing effective circular economy strategies. Our efforts drive sustainability and ESG goals, enhance resource efficiency, ensure compliance with evolving regulations, and create lasting environmental and social benefits.
