Who am I?
Hi I’m Kyle, I’m a part of the People & Culture team here at LGP. When I’m not at work I’m typically at a café with a friend, reading at home, swimming or in the gym. Once a fortnight I also run a Dungeons and Dragons Campaign with 5 of my friends that I have been the Dungeon Mastering for over 5 years, a habit we started digitally during Covid Lockdown and have kept up since!
How do I make a difference at LGP?
As a part of LGP’s People & Culture team, I am one of the first people that our newer employees meet so a lot of my role involves ensuring that our new starters have a friendly, welcoming, and streamlined experience in their first few months. I also have a keen interest in Work Health & Safety, and employee wellness which trends my attention and workload towards projects which aim to support, empower, and educate our people with the skills they need to flourish.
I’ve always been a strong believer that the effort a workplace puts into supporting its people’s present and future, and company culture is amplified and the best way to ensure that you establish and maintain your organisation as a place that people are excited to work with.
What keeps me busy at LGP?
A normal part of my month involves putting out our monthly employee survey, and collating the data that we get from it to pass along both to the staff at the end of the month and to our Executive Team, this forms an important part of the feedback loop we have established to ensure that LGP remains in touch with what our people think, feel and need.
This month, I am working on organising employee training to raise awareness and equip our people with the skills they need to understand Psychosocial Health in the workplace, both with how to spot Psychosocial hazards and how to navigate them safely and effectively. At the same time, I have also been working with several managers across our business to assist and support them in the recruiting process for our recent vacancies in our IT team, and the Strategic Procurement Solutions team.
