LGP Innovation Development Fund

The LGP Innovation Development Fund (IDF) has been established by Local Government Procurement (LGP) and Telstra with the primary aim of supporting technology innovation that helps NSW councils, Regional Organisation of Councils (ROCs) and Joint Organisations (JOs) meet current and future community needs.

The IDF aims to benefit local governments in New South Wales by providing financial assistance towards improving transformation and business processes using technology.

The IDF will aim to focus on 3 main areas of investment and advancement:

1.Projects will be aligned to the principles outlined under Section 5 of this Charter to support NSW local government, aiming at innovation in the digital environment and technology sector;

2.Innovation forums/tours/enablement (a way to support local government address challenges/solve problems) and;

3.Specific projects that meet the eligibility criteria and are aligned to the principles (a way to support councils, helping them to stay current in the digital environment and technology sector).

•Telstra agrees to allocate $100,000 (GST excl) to the IDF annually.
