LGP Lunch & Learn Draws Record Crowd – Don’t Miss the Encore!
Our latest Lunch & Learn, Mastering LGP Contracts, was our biggest yet – with strong attendance, great energy, and even a pizza-fuelled watch party at one enthusiastic council.
Held both in-person at the LGP office and online, the session brought together council staff from across NSW for a practical, engaging look at how to get the most from LGP contracts. Some made it a team event, booking meeting rooms and tuning in together over lunch. Others joined solo but contributed actively via chat and Q&A.
The session was led by LGP’s Head of Business Development, Bronwyn Challis, alongside Business Development Managers John Pennock, Paul Youdell, and Jerram Fairclough, who shared real-world examples and strategies to help councils maximise value, manage risk, and stay compliant.
Key takeaways included:
Attendees walked away with practical strategies and insights to get more value from LGP contracts, including:
- Legislation: Understanding LGP’s prescription status and the benefits this brings to councils.
- Risk Management: Knowing what councils’ responsibilities are when engaging suppliers through LGP Contracts.
- Compliance: How to use LGP Contracts while staying aligned with your council’s procurement policies and procedures.
- Improved efficiency: How to use more advanced procurement strategies under the LGP framework to increase efficiency and value for money
The positive feedback from participants and the collaborative spirit in the room (and online) proved that procurement can be both informative and engaging.
If you missed it, you’ve got another chance. We’re running an Encore Session on 11 September to revisit the discussion and give more councils the opportunity to join the conversation.
And for those who attended, don’t forget – you can still redeem your 10% discount for training, SPS, and the Conference until 31 August.
