Help to Shape National Research Exploring Council–Supplier Relationships

Local Government Procurement, in partnership with World Commerce and Contracting is undertaking an Australian-first research project into council-supplier relationships.

Councils and their suppliers are under pressure to deliver contractual value, whilst the operating environment continues to grow in complexity. There’s an increasing demand for contracts to balance commercial performance, sustainability objectives, regulatory expectations and long-term value.

Council-supplier relationships are essential for the successful delivery of these expectations.

The LGP research will closely examine the buyer-supplier relationship. We’ll look at current approaches, emerging trends and real-world experiences to build a robust evidence base that can inform strategy, policy and practice.

The research will provide councils and suppliers with clear, actionable insights into how greater value can be achieved, particularly through innovation, supplier diversity and ESG. The report will also allow you to benchmark your approach against sector-wide practices to identify where you might be able to unlock greater value through targeted improvements.

Don’t miss out on having your say and participating in this important research.
