Welcome to 2026, and a Happy New Year to you all.
All of us here at LGP hope you had a great holiday and are back into 2026 refreshed and ready to go. LGP is set for another year focused on making meaningful changes that lift our performance and deliver new and better value for our councils, ROCs, JOs and contracted suppliers.
Looking ahead to 2026, LGP will engage closely with councils to rapidly grow spend under our First Nations Procurement Scheme and deliver Release 5 of our Procurement Capability Grant Program.
Of course, the LGP Events Program is locked in and ready to begin, with our first Network Meeting in Tamworth on 26 March. We look forward to seeing our council colleagues across all upcoming Network Meetings.
Our training courses are now open to employees in NSW councils and our supplier base, providing access to new qualifications. Our Strategic Procurement Solutions team continues to deliver a range of outsourced procurement initiatives for councils, while also expanding our ESG (environment, social and governance) procurement solutions.
In 2026, LGP will develop a new Strategic Plan to drive transformational growth for our organisation, our customers and our people. Internally, we continue to explore our own digital transformation, including expanding our existing AI implementations. ISO 9001 Certification also remains a key operational focus to ensure we consistently meet customer and regulatory requirements while improving overall efficiency and performance.
As LGP enters its 19th year in business, we are very grateful for the ongoing support of our councils and suppliers. To ensure this continues, we must keep evolving and enhancing the value we deliver to these two key stakeholder groups, and this will be a central focus throughout 2026.
