First Nations Reconciliation Action Plan
LGP’s Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) reflects our commitment to building respectful relationships, supporting economic participation, and creating meaningful outcomes for First Nations peoples and communities across NSW.

Our Commitment to Reconciliation
Developed in partnership with stakeholders, advisors and First Nations representatives, the LGP Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) outlines practical actions to strengthen cultural understanding, embed reconciliation into everyday business practice, and create lasting social impact through procurement.
Reconciliation is an ongoing journey grounded in respect, learning, accountability and action.
As a procurement organisation supporting councils across NSW, LGP recognises the role procurement plays in shaping economic, social and community outcomes. Through our RAP, we are embedding reconciliation principles into the way we work, partner, and deliver value to local communities.

Embedding Reconciliation into Procurement
At the centre of LGP’s RAP is a commitment to using procurement as a lever for positive and lasting change.
Through social procurement and supplier diversity initiatives, LGP is supporting increased opportunities for First Nations businesses while helping councils strengthen ESG, sustainability and reconciliation outcomes.
This work complements LGP’s First Nations Procurement Scheme (FNPS), which provides councils with compliant and transparent pathways to engage verified First Nations businesses across NSW.
Together, the RAP and FNPS help create stronger, more inclusive supply chains while supporting economic participation and long-term community benefit.
Leading Through Action
RAP Focus Areas
Reconciliation requires ongoing action, learning and accountability. These focus areas guide how LGP is working to create meaningful and lasting impact through relationships, respect, opportunity and leadership.
Building meaningful and respectful relationships with First Nations peoples, communities, businesses and stakeholders through engagement, collaboration and shared learning.
Strengthening cultural understanding across our organisation through education, awareness, cultural protocols and celebration of First Nations cultures and histories.
Creating pathways for First Nations participation through employment, procurement, supplier diversity and economic inclusion initiatives.
Embedding accountability, leadership and measurable action into the delivery and ongoing evolution of our reconciliation commitments.

Our Artwork and Story
LGP partnered with NSW-based First Nations creative agency Yirra Miya to develop a customised artwork representing our reconciliation journey, values and commitment to community connection.
The artwork reflects themes of collaboration, knowledge-sharing, advocacy, sustainability and future partnerships, while recognising the importance of listening, learning and walking forward together.
Created by proud Wodi Wodi and Walbunja artist Lauren Henry of the Yuin Nation, the artwork is proudly displayed within LGP’s Sydney office and is being incorporated across our communications and branding.
