NSW EV Destination Charging Grants

The NSW Government’s commitment to achieving the net zero emissions is translating into action.

A $20 million government grant fund has been announced to support the rollout of EV chargers at tourist destinations across regional NSW.

This means that all tourist destinations run by councils are eligible for the funding.

This funding is open until September. $7M of funding is available in round 1, and it is expected that there will be multiple funding rounds through to 2024 to support the growth of EV destination charger network across regional NSW.

This is an excellent opportunity for councils to avail the grant fund and use the soon to be launched LGP321 – Supply of Electric, Petrol & Diesel Light Vehicles, Charging Station Consulting & Infrastructure Services contract for EV requirements.

This contract enables councils to engage the expertise and experience of vendors providing Charging Station Consultancy Services, Supply of chargers and Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE), Charging Station Infrastructure Services, as well as Maintenance & Servicing of Charging Infrastructure.
