LGP Approved Contractors Format

Deadline: LGP Approved Contractor items for the LGP News are due by 25th of the previous month (i.e. due on 25 January for the February edition). LGP News is published in the first week of the month.

Submissions: Please email Trish Nichitean, Head of Marketing and Communications, [email protected] with “Item for LGP News” in the subject line.

Items for the newsletter should be of benefit to Councils / Buyers. They should include:

  • Case studies (preferably a council projects) where the product/service is innovative or has saved money, time, etc. or promoting sustainability e.g. energy efficiency
  • Running demos or training you may be holding or an event to be hosted. It needs to be more than advertising a product. The product must be relevant to the article you are promoting. We try to avoid including items that are pure advertisement or a specifications sheet.
  • New information or research that is of interest to Councils.

Please include the following for your article:

  1. Business/organisation name & LGP contract number (if known)
  2. For the Article:
    • Title – a catchy title
    • Lead sentence – that convinces the reader that the article is worth reading (separate from the article body).
    • Cover photo – maybe used in the LGP newsletter main body
  3. For the Body of the Article. Please include;
    • Article length – A4 size, including photos (Word Doc)
    • A company logo
    • A link to your website
    • Contact details: A contact person’s name, email address and phone number.
