This month we celebrate the long-awaited return of the LGP Annual Conference, back in face-to-face mode at Doltone House, Pyrmont Island, Darling Harbour on Tuesday 18th and Wednesday 19th October.
The theme is “2030 – How will you Measure Up”. We are taking our audience into forward thinking, stepping back from day-to-day tasks, helping them lift their eyes to what is coming, and how do they need to prepare for the inevitable.
We start the event with a futurist, someone who many may have seen before, either on television, online or at other conferences. Talking to Chris Riddell about the event, his is ready to share post-pandemic ‘mega trends’ we need to start preparing for, as well as outline what did the world achieve from the unanticipated pandemic.
Our speakers come from local government, state government, the private sector, and the United Nations. We will talk about the future of sustainable and social procurement, share council case studies that create a vision on how other councils can start to make change. There is plenty of time for networking, seeing old friends and welcoming new people to NSW local government into our fold.
As we speak, we are judging the 2022 LGP Procurement Awards. I am excited to see who will be the winner of the Sustainable Procurement Achievement Award. Who do we get to crown as the 2022 LGP Approved Contractor of the Year, and our New Procurement Professional.
The major award is Outstanding Procurement Professional – this is the person we judge from all the nominations who we deem the best performing procurement professional in NSW local government for the past 12months.
We already have 120 conference attenders locked in to attend, we do have some space left for more. If you want to know more or get your ticket, please click here or speak with your LGP Business Development Manager.
