Our 2023 Annual Conference is rapidly approaching, with the agenda set and speakers booked, we are now looking to open up for delegate registrations. Our theme this year is Connect, Leverage, Achieve.
This years’ event is focused on how council staff can learn new ways to demonstrate their immense value across our sector. We dive into how to better engage and collaborate with key decision makers.
In order to create new value in a climate where costs continue to climb, the 2023 conference will outline how we need to explore all options and lift our negotiation skills to stretch ratepayer funds as far as possible. Finally, we must make sure we can measure our impact, as well as communicate and celebrate what we deliver. If you are interested in coming along, please click here.
The 2023 LGP Procurement Awards are now open for your submission. Every year we recognise our LGP Approved Contractor of the Year, Sustainable Procurement Award, New Procurement Professional, and our major award being the Outstanding Procurement Professional. These are the best people in our business, if you know someone who at the top of their game and should be recognised, please start working on your award submission by clicking here.
Last month we shared the amazing response to Release 2 of our Procurement Capability Grant Program with 68 submissions valued at over $1m. Unfortunately, we only have $95,000 to distribute, we are now finalising those successful submissions we would like to approve and we will be notifying those recipients shortly. Next month we look forward to sharing the projects we will be investing in over the next 12 months.
We continue with our LGP staff profiles, this month we have Candice Galvez and myself sharing a little more about who we are.
In June we had a great day out at Western Plains Zoo for our Dubbo Network Meeting. Our event was opened by the Mayor, we had beautiful weather and a full house on the day, with all attendees enjoying a variety of speakers and a mini-safari at the lunch break.
After three events in the region, our next two events are in Sydney. Our Procurement Network Meeting is on the 26th of July, our Engineering Network Meeting is on 27th July. Our next regional Network Meeting is on the 10th of August in Goulburn. We look forward to having you join us. To secure your place, please register.
Thank you,
Luke Kenny
