Driving Excellence: LGP Procurement Capability Grant Fund Program in 2024

Welcome to the gateway of innovation and progress in procurement!

In an ongoing commitment to fostering excellence in procurement practices, LGP is thrilled to announce the continuation of the LGP Procurement Capability Grant Fund Program for 2024. Following two years of remarkable success, this program is set to empower NSW local governments with even more opportunities for growth and improvement with a total allocation of $150K.

Launching on May 15, 2024, the LGP Procurement Capability Grant Program aims to bolster procurement capabilities across councils through a competitive Expression of Interest (EOI) process. This initiative is tailored to encourage councils to identify areas for enhancement and implement impactful initiatives that elevate procurement standards.

Open to a diverse range of entities including NSW councils, Joint Organisations, Regional Organisations of Councils, Aboriginal Land Councils, and County Councils, the Grant Program offers eligible projects the chance to secure grants ranging from $3,000 to $25,000.

Projects may span various areas such as:
  • Process Improvement,
  • Procurement Resource Development,
  • Technology Integration
  • Professional Development, or
  • Other specialised areas like disaster recovery.

With a strong emphasis on delivering tangible outcomes, LGP is dedicated to facilitating meaningful improvements in procurement practices across the board. The program encourages innovation, collaboration, and the adoption of best practices to drive efficiency and effectiveness in procurement processes.

From May 15, interested councils can access the Expression of Interest (EOI) form via the LGP website. The submission deadline for EOI is June 12, 2024. The EOI process has been designed to be user-friendly, ensuring a smooth and straightforward application process for all participants.

Stay tuned for further announcements and updates as the program unfolds.
