Last year’s (FY23) procurement capability grant program saw councils accessing over $97,000 in procurement-related funding, marking a significant investment in the improvement of procurement practices across the region. Among the successful recipients was the Central NSW Joint Organisation, a collaborative effort comprising five joint organisations across regional NSW.
The Central NSW Joint Organisation utilized the grant to attend sustainable procurement training, a vital step towards fostering environmentally conscious and responsible procurement practices.
This journey is two-fold for the Central NSW Joint Organisation. Having successfully completed the training, the organisation is now ready to take the next step: the development of a sustainable procurement policy which will be available to their member councils.
Please refer to the media release, detailing the Central NSW Joint Organisation’s journey reaffirming the positive impact of LGP’s grant program on regional procurement capabilities.
