A Guide to Using LGP Contracts

Local Government Procurement (LGP) operates with the purpose to share and facilitate procurement expertise across the local government sector. As part of our value proposition, we continually work to develop and provide councils with the necessary tools and resources to help refine their procurement processes and get the most out of LGP’s contract suite. These resources are available on the LGP website underneath the resources tab, and also on the LGP YouTube Channel.

Recently our Business Development Team created an easy-to-follow beginners guide to using LGP contracts. The Guide to Using LGP Contracts details recommended considerations for council to follow throughout the procurement process, as well as highlighting the different methods of engaging LGP Approved Contractors. The Request for Quote process in VendorPanel has also been detailed to provide staff at council with an overview of how the process is run, and what to include or exclude from the request for Quote. The guide is available via the resources tab on the LGP website all Contract Buyer Guide FAQs.

In 2022 LGP released a series of video tutorials which cover and explain many of the FAQ’s we receive from councils. These videos focus primarily around how LGP and VendorPanel work together, as well as how to navigate both platforms and utilise tailored features that can assist with council’s procurement process. You can view the video tutorials via the links below.
